About Us

DG Bicycles began in February of 2009. Scott Dunwoody purchased Nora Bike & Skate and immediately began cleaning, painting, organizing, and stocking. The DG in DG Bicycles represents "Dunwoody and Graham". When my cousin and I were kids, we dreamed of owning a bike shop, in a old marsh with a B.M.X. track in the middle. (Got to start somewhere.) Sadly, my cousin left us in the 90's, but the dream of owning my own shop still lives. So when told of Nora being up for sale, I jumped too it. With my succsess at Bike Wave, I knew I could do it again.

A little bit about myself, I grew up racing B.M.X., I rode for Chico's bike shop. Which is where I began my start working in a bike shop, from 1984 till the end of Chico's in 1996. I used my racing of bikes as my off season from wrestling, which I attended Indiana University and wrestled one year for. While at IU, I was the everyone's mechanic that knewn me. At the Frat, or for the little 500, I was always working on someone's bikes. Then in 2001, I started working at the bike wave.

After the store closed, I did a short spell at A1. Then started teaching at Clay Jr. high School. This is also when I found out about the store being up for sale. The rest is history.
